HTTPS certificate expiry date approaching
HTTPS certificate expiry date approaching
I noticed that the TLS/SSL certificate for atari-forum.com is due to expire on Fri, 24 May 2024 23:59:59 GMT. Since we had a bit of a hitch with certificate renewal last year (or was it two years ago?), I wanted to make sure that the expiry date is known to Dal or to whoever will take care of it. Thank you for maintaining this forum!

Same here.
If it doesn't get replaced, we won't have a forum by Saturday.

Re: HTTPS certificate expiry date approaching
Last time that happened, i just told the browser to ignore the risk
So it won't be *that* critical

Re: HTTPS certificate expiry date approaching
Yes - we're on it - Brume was in touch with me on Monday about it. Just waiting on the updated cert so I can push it onto the server.
Nice to know there are plenty of guardians still around.

And even when they do, it may put off some members/users.

Re: HTTPS certificate expiry date approaching
Looking at the certificate transparency logs, I see that DigiCert issued new certificates on May 20th, and again today: https://crt.sh/?q=atari-forum.com. Of course, I don't know how you could get these certs to install them on the server. But they should exist.Dal wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 11:49 pm Just waiting on the updated cert so I can push it onto the server.
Re: HTTPS certificate expiry date approaching

Is using LetsEncrypt with auto-renewal not an option? Once set up it'll keep working forever and nothing to pay

This is good idea. I also use that for my personal blog and it makes no problems.hayesey wrote: Sat May 25, 2024 4:39 pm Is using LetsEncrypt with auto-renewal not an option? Once set up it'll keep working forever and nothing to pay
