So I have a Jookie cosmosex micro ( no scsi or floppy)
I wanted to test something on my megaSTE that still has an internal HDD. NOW - the internal drive is ID 0
SO i set the cosmos to 0 RAW 1 SDcard 2 RAW 3 RAW 4 COSMOS
But it will not boot the SCSI DRIVE.. now with the internal drive.. do I need to remove the RPs on the SCSI drive? because it is no longer the last item in the chain?
Is it easier or better to change the ID on the internal drive??
OR will this just not work?

Re: Cosmosex and ACSI bus
By internal port you mean ACSI or SCSI?
IIRC in order to switch ACSI<-->SCSI you have to set a dedicated jumper for 1 minute and reset CosmosEx.

Re: Cosmosex and ACSI bus
So the internal drive is ID#0 and the CosmosEx has a RAW drive at ID#0? Seems like an ID conflict to me.

Re: Cosmosex and ACSI bus
Set ID0 to off in the cosmos. Tried to use them all together and the setup ended up destroying the partitions on the SCSI drive. Now I do have the RPs in on the drive. Maybe I need to remove them to allow other devices on the bus.

Re: Cosmosex and ACSI bus
Removing the RP's should have no influence, they are purely for the communication between the ACSI-SCSI converter and HDD, but trying shouldn't break anything.
Is the Cosmos config tool snappy in it's response when you use it?
Are the HDD partitions also gone when only the hdd is connected?
If partitions are still gone then the double id#0 probably messed things up. Recreate them and install hddriver, then try a combination of a few reboots and the cosmos testtools or P.Putniks AHTP94(https://atari.8bitchip.info/ahpt.html) for RW reliabilty testing.
