It's that time of the year again

Heya'll,

New Beat released a new demo for the Falcon030 at Sommarhack 2020. The demo is for standard 16MHz Falcon030 computers with at least 4MB of ST-RAM. It runs on standard VGA monitors in standard frequencies (60Hz). So should work just fine on any modern monitor.

At Pouet there's also a link to a youtube recording of the demo for those with no access to real hardware (please don't use Hatari to run the demo, it doesn't emulate the VGA mode of the Falcon030 properly).

Any comments (and thumbs-up) on Pouet would be much appreciated and a very good way of telling us that you enjoyed the demo. A thumb also increases the likeliness of another New Beat demo.

Besides the VGA / 50Hz issue with Hatari, one needs really fast machine, otherwise Hatari DSP emulation runs too slowly for music to sound good (at all).

If one doesn't care about the great music, one can run it with EmuTOS (which doesn't implement DSP XBios calls yet) and disable Hatari DSP to speed up emulation a lot. And e.g. use RGB instead of VGA. It's nice that the demo handles DSP missing.

PS. I really like the the clean design & effects (like in Joy demo)!

I think you can buy individual tracks as well. Buying an album or individual track means you will by able to download the music in the lossless FLAC format. He doesn't ask for much, so well worth the money if you like his music!
