RIP Steve Bak

I'm sad to report that Steve Bak, from Goldrunner, Return to Genesis and others fame, has passed away as reported on twitter by his son:

I'll remember him as the absolute master of fast, software only 50Hz scrolling on the ST. No one came close. A true Atari legend.

Happy Computer 8/88, a two page article about Steve Bak.

I have also fond memories of Goldrunner. It was one of the first games I played on my 520STM - and yes, I had the original. The title screen with the speech was just wow!
