Post by THaase »

Since I/O Board is too complex and eventually more expensive, i suggest for sellers to make different options.
For example, TOSLink can be omitted. Fan can be omitted due to different users may find different fans for their preference.
I believe these 2 components already can reduce the price greatly. Connectors for external buttons and external LEDs can be also omitted as 99% users won't use it.

There also can be very light I/O option where VGA and Analog audio circuits will not be populated. So, I/O can be used for secondary SD with buttons and LEDs and place to mount fan (it's better to solder connector for fan always) - this should be pretty popular option as a core of I/O board.

There are 3 pin header through which 5V power is going to fan connector. It's reserved for fan control circuit. You can cut the trace between those 2 pins and solder 68R resistor if you will supply the board with this fan.

I will think about, but I'll change the connector anyway - the original 3Pin (that fits also) has a long cable (too long to look good in my opinion).
And second reason: If I put 68R on the board You need a fan that starts at 3.0V - my second suggestion (for those who don't care about the height as they will not use a case: NB-BlackSilent Pro PM-1 and this needs 4.5 V as start voltage

this option is only if you supply the board with mounted fan.

First thing:
The fist topic will be updated regulary by myself.
That means: In the first topic will be a list of all people selling expansion boards at the moment - and not somewhere on the thread.
So if you don't have anymore boards - just tell me - I'll mark it and put you off the list. If you are back in business - you tell me and you get back.

Would be great if the first item coul be managed by more than just a person (we'll see if this might be possible)

The thread will be cleaned up (we'll see how to manage)

A thread like this one is a pretty good idea, but wouldn't it be better if the first post just included a link to a specific post from a seller?
This way we'll be able to update our posts with pictures/availability information without bothering THaase.

I guess I'll just repeat my previous message since it includes pictures with some extra information:
----------------------
Universal SDRAM Board v3.1U
Sold out.
All three were fully assembled and tested at 150 MHz for more than 2 hours without any issues.
I'm willing to sell them for 26 USD each including shipping via registered airmail and PayPal fees.

RTC Board
Three are available:
https://i.imgur.com/DvHXiwr.jpg
I'm willing to sell these for 18 USD each with shipping via registered airmail and PayPal fees included.

I also have one I/O PCB and some (but not all) necessary headers left.
https://i.imgur.com/JvbL5CE.jpg
Since I don't need that many PCBs and connectors, I'm willing to sell these for the same price I got them.
With shipping and PayPal fees, it'll be 8.5 USD.

Contact me if you're interested.

Hi there,

I also have an I/O board (v5.2) to sell (just the board without VGA Out, TOSLink analogue sound out and LEDs). In case you just need HDMI (for sound and video), the switches and the card reader it's exactly what you are looking for. Fan is attached and there is of course an appropriate CPU cooler added to the board by me. You only would need to buy the SDRAM-Module seperately from one of the sellers here on the board.

I bought it in the U.S. and payed 14$ for shipping and 28$ for the board with a heatsink but without fan. So I think 30€ with the fan (plus shipping) should be alright?

I'm living in Berlin, Germany

Best wishes, retox

Thanks, @THaase!

I received the full I/O board and XS SDRAM board and they rock fine! My MiSTer has been running a memory test at 167 Mhz for an hour and no errors. So everything is perfect. I also added an RTC board I bought a long time ago. So now it only lacks a USB board to make it as complete and compact as possible.

Please note that I am no longer selling SDRAM or RTC boards! I will have fans and heatsinks (heatsinks should be re-stocked by Monday).

I am working on an all new board for the DE-10 that has an I/O board, SDRAM board, and RTC board all combined into a single sided board. I may end up also adding a few USB ports to the board as there is plenty of room (using 0402/0603 parts and small push button switches). This board does not have optical audio output (I am not sure who actually uses that anymore since HDMI was released).

Basically yes - I'll do 5.5 (or newer if Sorgelig invents something new) when my stack of 5.2 boards will drop far enough.
Parts are already here, but PCBs will ordered right before soldering starts.
So most likely - think about E/August or B/September with 5.5 IOs from my side.
