And apparently Amazon Japan is shipping the TG-16 mini already; I saw an unboxing video this evening. It comes with a joypad with turbo.

dshadoff wrote:While I don't discount your explanation, that would imply that the Core Grafx and TurboGrafx minis would also ship with non-turbo joypads (which is not the configuration they were originally sold with).

We'll see when they officially launch at the end of April.
Well... if they launch at the end of April (they've been delayed once already, and now Japan is starting to go into lockdown, so all bets are now off).
It didn't take long...

Japan shipping was so fast on the Core Grafx mini and the TG16 mini and they both showed up today . The Turbo buttons work exactly as expected in Mister/TG16 core. I just had to map the normal Button I and Button II. I tested using Ninja Spirit with both the mini and in the mister core and they seem to react the same. There does seem to be a perceivable difference between the two settings on the turbo switches but I cant tell the difference between the mini and mister when I switch between consoles.

I might take out an original console and the original controllers and video it to see if there is a "visible" polling/speed difference.

I ordered both the Core Grafx and the Turbo Grafx on April 6th with delivery today in Texas. Pretty crazy. Let me know if someone has a specific game or core they want me to test with and I can.

Thanks, that confirms the changes are correct. The 320 and 256 circle width being the same is the expected result.
paulbni - you mentioned about a month ago that you were ready to commit something based on results of the test... was this unnecessary, or is there still a commit planned ?

Not sure why you are so hostile, can you link me to the page, when I look it up, I don't see this commit:

https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/TurboGr ... its/master

Obviously I am not looking at the right place.

EDIT: Found it, you mean the MiSTer main has not PCE CD support, you could easily have worded this better in your post. From how you wrote it, I expected you to talk about the PC Engine core itself, cause we are here in the discussion about the core.

I just submitted a pull request to fix the sprites on GitHub issues:
#66 Kato & Ken
#67 Boxyboy
#68 Madou King Granzort

This won't fix the "final line jittering" issue on several games; that will need CPU->VDC access-slot/wait state timing improvements.
I know srg320's updated core will include those improvements, but I don't know when it will be ready to share here.

There are so many more... these are just the best of the best, in my opinion (and from what I've found on the internet, most other pc engine fans as well.)

For so long we've had to deal with finicky CD drives, aging caps, interference noise, and no RGB output without mods in the original hardware, or compromises with emulation. Maybe not for much longer, again thanks to the amazing MiSTer project!

I don't speak Japanese and I feel it's required for Y's 4. As for red alert, it is on my list, It's called Last Alert.

We are in the golden age of retro gaming.
There are two huge issues to deal with in this day and age:
choosing which systems to buy and use and finding the time to play the millions of hours of games available....
