Re: Suska
The owner is Wolfgang Förster hisselve, so I doubt he likes to be listed. Even if I have it more than 50% of the time since it´s availaible at my flat, I will wait until I onw an own one. He´s upcoming with an interresting "small" unit in near future.

Re: Suska
He's definitely going in an interesting direction with his projects. Someone pointed me at his latest project and I was totally unaware of the up coming board. It was after I seen the Suska III-T page that I decided to expand my clone site. I'm wondering what sort of speed he expects with an 030 inside the Cyclone3. If its anywhere near what natami might achieve speedwise, he will definitely sell a 2nd board.

It's the basis for a modern take on the ST Pad
STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's
Re: Suska
In May I had the prototype of his "Suska-III-B" the "Basic" in Viennna, and this one is really interresting! The "Tiny" will be no cheap solution as the "Classic". But his 3rd model the III-B is a cheaper one for playing the old games etc. I think all the needs of Atari-Users are covered, once his III-B is availaible as well.
He will for sure publish something about it soon. Let's see and enjoy!

And here are two photos of the Suska-III-B prototype which I had for a week.

Re: Suska
That's very impressive! Looks about the same form factor as a 3.5" hard disk?

Re: Suska
Yeah, It´s about 10 x 10 cm. Just VGA, Keyboard, Koystick, Mouse, SD-Card, Sound and power supply external. It shall become a cheaper device than the other two Suskas.

On that page, it mention a Radio Chip. Does anyone know exactly what that is? An ST with a builtin radio to listen to....lp wrote:For anyone who is unaware of his current project:

Re: Suska
I'm guessing its a poor translation for "wifi". A radio would be useless.wongck wrote:On that page, it mention a Radio Chip. Does anyone know exactly what that is? An ST with a builtin radio to listen to....lp wrote:For anyone who is unaware of his current project:

Re: Suska
The Ethernet port I find rather important these days. That's a little disappointing since everyone is always trying to add that to their existing system. Anyway I look forward to the full specs when he eventually updates the site. Thanks for the photos.Mathias wrote:No Lonny, it´s PS/2 keyboard and mouse (than joystick and VGA).
Re: Suska
Hmm, well I think Wolfgang made the right thing. The computer you are talking about wouuld be the Suska III-T. The III-B will be absolute consequent in reducing peripherials to become cheap. The device is for puting the software at SD-Card and using this Suska "just" along with other computers. So no need for connecting it to a network or something. I think this one is the missing link, several users demanded. Remember even at the ACP people adviced us to kick this and that connector. Now Wolfgang has 3 Suskas within his portfolio. With 4 new Atari compatible machines every wishes should be possible - don't you think?lp wrote:The Ethernet port I find rather important these days. Re: Suska
Well I understand the idea of reducing the cost, however mostly its personal option or whatever. I'd rather have an Ethernet port and no joystick port. Can't remember the last time I ever played a game on my Atari. This sort of thing is mostly based on how people use their machines.
The -T model doesn't have straightforward VGA, unless some adapter can be used to get VGA or DVI out?

Re: Suska
Ok, I see. Would be a nice to have builtin wifi if that is correct. I will think seriously of getting one, if price permits.lp wrote:I'm guessing its a poor translation for "wifi". A radio would be useless.
