STOT #4/11 Quartz

Post by ThorN »

In the past racing games were never that successfull in the STOT, so it's time for a game that is easy to understand, and easy to play. Shoot everything that moves, wait until Xerus beats your score :-) try to read the manual .... It's shooter Time again!

Now we play Quartz

Don't know what the means means. In Germany we say: "Quarzen" as a synonym for smoking.

Quartz Blaster 50'000
Quartz Trigger King 150'000

Quartz is a crystal of SiO2 used as an insulator in transistors and in clocks because of it's constant oscilating frequency. Also it has the same structure as diamond.

Thanks Christos. Good reasons to shoot and destroy it then.

Neither chemically nor their lattice system are the same. Diamond is C and its lattice is (simplified said) cubic, Quartz is SiO2 and its lattice is (simplified again) tri- or hexagonal.

Cheers,
T.

34670 at second try - this game is pretty good, even if the background patterns are repetitive

I was astonished to see a downscrolling scene in Level 2. I can't remember a single ST shooter were you shoot downwards %)

BTW the D-Bug patch works from harddisk and on Falcon aswell.
