That's a reasonable price in my view, but does depend on how many extras it has and whether it's the original with a daughter board, if it has TT ram and a disk drive or vme graphics.
If it's just a base level TT with 2mb ST ram and no TT ram, you might want to haggle them down a bit. The trouble is someone will be happy to pay 800 euro to get a beautiful machine...good luck and tell us what happened!

Sounds reasonable.
But just don't buy somebody's abortion.

That's what I fear with these higher end units with add ons

Does that include a keyboard? TT keyboards can go for £239.99 alone.

If you are buying face to face you can test everything, but be cautious of online auctions. Take into account the sellers feedback and reputation etc.
Still got, still working: Atari 4Mb STe, MegaST 2, 520STFM (x2), 2.5Mb STF, Atari 2600JR, Flashback 8 Gold.
Hardware: PC720B, Cumana CSA 354, Ultimate Ripper, Discovery Cartridge, Blitz Turbo, Synchro Express II (US and UK Versions).

It's a bargain. Just the base unit sells for £1000

(From another post.)

Sounds reasonable but the Devil is in the detail. For comparison, another honourable member of this board paid 300 euros for a damaged board, needing considerable skills to repair.

As a fixer-upper of course.

That's amazing... you can just sell whatever you don't need. But that's a great deal overall! The TTM195 is a real jewel of a monitor to own!

If it really is 2x MegaSTe (with keyboards) then this is a good haul. You should be able to sell your spares and recoup half the price of the purchase (and still keep one of each computer)

Thanks guys!

The first STE i am testing now starts up, shows 4096 memory test, but after that this appears on the screen: "...unit 0 - Seagate st157n" and a line under that: "unit 1 - not responding" " bootloaded" ?

Anyone an idea?

And how can i post a picture of that?

hard disk could be broken, press "Alternate" key to avoid booting from it
