Has anyone managed to do this?
I tried, but there is some problem with the drives.
First it didn't read the diskette correctly to load SYSINST.FS. I bypassed this by moving SYSINST to the swap partition.
Then it didn't really want to prepare the disk, only on one occasion it succeeded. Finally, at the end, it was unable to read the CD.
All disks work under TOS or MiNT. They even work under Debian.
I suspect it may have something to do with the version of programmable circuits on the board.

I don't have a hades, but the floppy controller is completely different from that of other TOS machines. See also https://github.com/th-otto/tos3x/tree/master/bios, especially https://github.com/th-otto/tos3x/blob/m ... hadflopp.S which has the floppy routines.artik-wroc wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 8:34 am First it didn't read the diskette correctly to load SYSINST.FS.
IIRC, the SCSI chip also needs slightly different routines.
Yes, but only with the hades TOS i assume. All disks work under TOS or MiNT.
Maybe linux has such drivers already builtin. But i doubt that this is the case for NetBSD.They even work under Debian

If we are to believe https://wiki.netbsd.org/ports/atari/ then I'd say that the chances of Hades being fully supported are pretty high.

I know all that. But as mikro wrote, since it's supported, someone must have gone through the installation successfully.
I'll try again, a little differently this time.

Which NetBSD version you're testing? I suspect that recent releases don't do lot of testing for old platforms like Atari...artik-wroc wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 9:05 pm I know all that. But as mikro wrote, since it's supported, someone must have gone through the installation successfully.
