So if the 2600+ could take 7800 carts and this can take 2600 carts, isn't there a bit of crossover here? :-)

Well I've pretty much convinced myself that I'll buy one since I sold my 7800 about 15 years ago. I didn't go for a 2600+ as I have a Vader, but the homebrew scene on the 7800 has really blossomed over the last few years and is hard to resist.

Being in the UK, buying new games from AA just isn't an option for me due to postage/taxes. It's just nice to see some brand new games for both the 2600/7800 available on Amazon.

I think the Jaguar is more likely since there's a good emulator for it these days BUT that means new Jagpads which is a good thing :-)

I thought B&C still has a boat load of them that they sell on eBay all the time for a good price, though I haven’t checked in a while.

Last I remember they were selling them new for around $45 I think.

In case you don’t have an atari 7800 and you can’t find one at an affordible price and/or you can’t connect your atari 7800 to a modern tv etc…
But you still want to own an atari 7800 system with games for it at a affordible price.
Then the atari 7800+ is for you.
But to be all hornest with you, i am fine with my original atari 7800 wich i bought on ebay 3 years ago along with lots of games for it.
And most games on it are not on the 7800+.
Also the 7800+ is emulation based rather then fpga or perfect clone based, wich makes me wonder why.
Sure my atari 7800 only has rf out but it ads to the nostagia to me😁
