This pictures origins.

Post by SToS »

Hi folks, can I pick your collective brains?

I have had and used this (a degas PI1 see below) as my go to test picture in various "projects" for years, but I can not for the life of me recall where I acquired it and whom originally produced it.
My only thought was it came from a menu disk?

Any thoughts?

I agree, I think it was used on a menu but it was taken from the original 'Terminator' movie posters and that video covers.

As such I think it may of had a tie in with Ocean and the image might of come from Spectrum or C64 days? (and been touched up?)

There are a few similar examples dotted around like this one:

exxos might be interested in this image as disk 242 is currently missing a screenshot.

I also used this picture a few times. The first time I came over it was in Demo Construction Kit, on disk B, it's called ARNOLD.PC1 in the DESSINS folder. Not sure that is the original source though...

Hmmm. now why does that word/name ring bells :?: :?
The plot thickens...

At least I'm not losing sleep over it, yet!

Addendum
LynXX, you are right about DCK, but scanning files within the three disks still produces no author/artist.
Oh well, thank you all for your help.

In the words of Vic & Bob...I couldn't let it lie!
I fired up the French cracked version of DCK and looked at the info menu entry.
Credited for graphics etc are thus...
