Looking for the Steinberg Soundworks Casio FZ-1 software

Post by dbsys »

I am looking for the Steinberg Soundworks Casio FZ-1 software.

I have the dongle for Soundworks FZ-1, but I lost the software.

Is anyone here who can and would like to share, please? Thank you.

PS:
"Soundworks" was the name for Steinberg's sample editor software series for Ensoniq Mirage, Akai S900, Prophet 2000, Emu Emax, Casio FZ-1 and Dynacord ADS : http://www.atari-wiki.com/index.php/Soundworks

May be we should try to find and archive all the Steinberg Soundworks software for those who are in the same situation like me. Floppy discs will eventually fail sooner or later and the software might then be lost forever.

Thanks.

Direct link to the fz-1 archive (untested) : https://mega.nz/#!7c9WyCqQ!lrE0ceR2k8jC ... qGKdWiKk6o
Thanks. That's the cracked version of Steinberg's Soundworks Casio FZ-1 software only, cracked by MCA.

Apart from that, that FZ Sampler page is quite interesting and a great source for plenty of FZ information.

Thanks. Indeed, that looks more like some sort of source code:

Not sure what to do with it, I'm not a programmer.

Yes, I prefer legit, if possible.

Nonetheless, cracked is better than nothing :)

Have you got any other (cracked) Steinberg Soundworks software?

Thank you!

Awesome that someone out there had the original software.

Giving the cracked version a try on an my 1040 STe/FZ1 (in remote mode) I get app crashes when I try to load a voice, bombs after it finishes receiving a voice, bombs when I finish drawing in a waveform or edit a sample. I can only find a german manual but have been following along by image-translating key pages to english.

Is there anyone out there who has the MCA-cracked version working well with their FZ1? I'm curious of the setup/settings you had success with.

Hello Sebastien, yes, I do and I am having a lot of fun with your software.

Do you still have the code? Would you be willing to share a "non-dongled" but full version with the Atari community? That would be great.

Thank you.

Great honor hearing from you Sebastian thanks for all your hard work over the years we should explore the code or attempt at writing some new program which does the same thing

If Steinberg let me release a free version, I will of course do it without protection.

I have many different versions of this software, including a 2.0 and maybe newer releases, I have to dig a lot in my old floppy disks.

Can you tell me which release do you have ?

Would you like to try a 2.x release (dongle required) ?

I’m currently trying to understand my old code to remove the protection 😀

Hello. You should have a private message with the link.

Please tell me if everything it's ok with this version. I'll update my website soon to provide officials (and protected) versions of Soundworks FZ1.

The unprotected release will be available (I hope) later.
