SEUCK ST games list?
I am looking for a complete set of SEUCK (Shoot-em up Construction Kit) games, but I can not find a sorted list of SEUCK Atari ST games anywhere, and all of the SEUCK sites I can find seem to be Commodore-centric. I have found about a dozen or so between Gamebase and Atari Legend, but surely there are more SEUCK games than this around, aren't there??? So far the best ones I have found were the ones bundled with the original SEUCK, and Fly Robin Fly.

Re: SEUCK ST games list?
Most of this stuff is crap....but: "Fly Robin Fly" is cute and an example that one can create something without shooting with SEUCK.
Some screenshots:
Base idea is to control the bird to care for little birds and pick flys out of the air for food while avoiding baddies.
I like this! How about a round in STOT with this one?

"Zog" and "Location Universe 2" are nice too
The latter almost looks like Xenon 2 - cool graphics for a SEUCK game:

Re: SEUCK ST games list?
hey thanks for the tips!
i did already try fly robin fly and it was awesome and original, which just goes to show you that creativity comes from the mind and not from the programming language or tools...that game probably would have been a classic if it were released in the arcade, say back in 1983!
location universe looked good... but was difficult and annoying, if I were more patient in my old age I could probably get through it though
did you ever play that racist SEUCK shooter? ... that one was negative, misguided and disturbing and really bad karma...and I completely do not support the theme of the plot (and always fight against those sentiments in my personal life), but strangely and inappropriately the game was actually fun to play
LOL
if you find any more SEUCK shooters let me know...

No, that was a Sidewinder hack with different graphics etc. Still hateful.Champions_2002 wrote:the games i have found on Atari Legend

As for SEUCK games, good luck with that. There's tons. From Die Alien Blob to poo Hawks, there's an absolute raftfull of them. Also, not forgetting the bedroom unreleased stuff.
Well done on giving yourself a headache.

Edit: You'll know a SEUCK game when you see it. I'm sure there's a shedload on Serenade menus but names escape me.
Re: SEUCK ST games list?
Sorry im a bit behind with the conversation regarding S.E.U.C.K Games for the Atari ST,but I created and released quite a few in my younger years.Although very dated by todays standards,I was delighted to see a few still mentioned on Atari sites...Amongst them was Tomb of Ra....Caverns of Nerak...Key to Atlantis....and at least a possible 12-15 others which Im glad to say I have kept copies of,and are possibly at the back of my Junk cupboard with a few demos for Atari st that i released through various clubs. If there is still an interest in these items please let me know....Cheers for now..Ken (spell@talk21.com)
Re: SEUCK ST games list?
Hi, I'm running a site dedicated to SEUCK and I'd like to expand it to cover the ST version.
www.seuckvault.co.uk
Does anyone have files or tips on using the Kit they would like to add?

If you start a section for the ST there, feel free to link or add Megastar.

Welcome aboard Merman .. didn't know you had that site but rarely go on RP these days

My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

Re: SEUCK ST games list?
So, I thought I would bump this as I just renewed the Vault URL for a couple more years.
Does anyone have ST games created with SEUCK? Or stories to tell about using the Kit?
Would be good to add them to the Vault.

I hadn't noticed this earlier, but had just a try. It is indeed cute: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-st ... 29949.htmlsimonsunnyboy wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2009 9:26 am Most of this stuff is crap....but: "Fly Robin Fly" is cute and an example that one can create something without shooting with SEUCK.
And it works fine with EmuTOS, one just needs to drag *.SCK file to RUNGAME program.

Re: SEUCK ST games list?
I don't really know SEUCK but if its strong point is making 2D look-down games then maybe an ST port of the Ultimate - Play The Game Spectrum classic ATIC ATAC would be a good candidate for consideration? I've had my Spectrum 48K on for most of the evening and I literally can not stop playing it. The graphics are quite basic but very cute / pretty, and it is such a playable game.

AL can (now) also do this filtered-by-engine search for SEUCK (and STAC etc.) games.

Thanks penguin and Mug!
Re: SEUCK ST games list?
Unfortunately because of the way SEUCK works it would not be possible to do the branching map/stairs the way Atic Atac does. Its single screen games are in a fixed order.siriushardware wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 10:06 pm I don't really know SEUCK but if its strong point is making 2D look-down games then maybe an ST port of the Ultimate - Play The Game Spectrum classic ATIC ATAC would be a good candidate for consideration? Re: SEUCK ST games list?
A pity, but thanks for the informative response. I guess that rules out other 2D games with x/y maps as well, like Sabre Wulf and Starquake (I know, there is already a native ST version of Starquake).
I wonder if anyone has ever made a Spectrum-to-ST game converter (not a full Spectrum emulator, but rather something which just cross converts the code from Z80 to 68000 and remaps graphic output onto the Atari low-res screen)?
