Another useful util - Wink v2.0

Post by Mug UK »

Used this a long time ago when I was at IBM. Basically it's a neat tool for creating Flash-based tutorials - very handy for helping newbies out with STEEM and SainT ;-)

No idea if we're allowed to host Flash files on the Wiki but I'm sure Silver Surfer can arrange for them to be stored somewhere else and we can just link to any created.

So who's up for creating some simple "How To's" for STeeM and SainT ??

Main site: www.mug-uk.co.uk - digging up bits from my past: Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (ripping guides). I host a C64 Radio Show for a mate, Max Hall via www.chipsidshow.co.uk

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in for Word 2007 upwards. A toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: mikestoolbox.co.uk

If you can use html code, you can host flash, flash is clientside technology. So it is up to the user if he/she wants to execute it.

The SWF files might get pretty big, especially if it's high resolution and there's an audio commentary. That's probably what he's getting at.

That said, afaik it uses an efficient codec for screencasts and packs well enough. Good idea, I'm all for video tutorials :)
