Retro Venture - welcome to modern retro computing!

Post by grey/msb »

Hello everyone! First of all let me introduce a new, small company, called "Retro Venture". Our main goals are new accessories & new games for the whole range of Atari computers and consoles - made with love by the community for the community!

Here is our first video spot:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RoTE_uDBXA

We bring back the good memories of the 80s & 90s!

We are pleased to present you our first official product! This is the anti-dust cover designed for the Atari Jaguar console.

Not only is it very aesthetic (looks like glass) it is also resistant to cracks, fractures and UV radiation. The Jaguar has never looked so beautiful! :) The biggest problem associated with the external port for the cartridge is solved! The main reason everyone left a cart in the Jaguar all the time was to stop dust getting in there. This was one of the main reasons of getting the 'red screen', bad contacts caused by dust. Also leaving a cartridge in all the time can cause the cartridge slot pins to weaken, making a bad contact on the cartridge. It goes down in history now! :)

The cover also has port cutouts for JoyPads, as well as I/O on the back of the console. Thanks to this, there is no need for disconnecting the console, and the Jaguar itself looks EXTREMELY attractive!

In addition, we took care with the design of the box that protects the lid from eventual damage, it is simply impossible. For this reason, the box can also serve as an additional Jaguar packaging (the console fits easily together with the cover - of course without the power supply).

There's also a small surprise inside the box with every order! :)

LONG LIVE THE JAGUAR!

Price: 35 euro + 14 euro worldwide shipping

And here comes our second official product! This is a anti-dust cover for the Atari 2600 Jr. console! (fits all 3 models).

Not only is it very aesthetic (it looks like glass), it is also resistant to cracks, fractures and UV radiation. As in the case of the Atari Jaguar console, the cover gives it shine, and also eliminates the problem with an exposed cartridge port.

The cover also has cutouts for the ports for controllers and input/output on the back of the console. Thanks to this, there is no need to disconnect the console, and the Atari 2600 Jr. looks EXTREMELY attractive! (Pictures will be on Monday as I pick up the covers from the factory)

In addition, we took care to get the right height for the box, which protects the lid against possible damage - it is almost impossible. For this reason, the box can be used as an additional packaging for the Atari 2600 Jr. (the console fits easily with the cover - of course without the power supply).

A small surprise inside the box with every order! :)

PROTECT THE LEGEND OF THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY!

Price: 35 euro + 14 euro worldwide shipping

Exciting news regarding ST FORMAT!

I hope I'm not being too critical, but please hire an English editor to avoid grammar and spelling errors in the final magazine. Not many projects take this step, so there's an opportunity to rise above all others.

Good luck!

Dear ATARI ST fans! Last year we were celebrating 35 years of the Atari ST line of home computers, the successor to the Atari 8-bit family.

The prototype presentation of the ST was held at the CES in January 1985 in Las Vegas. It was very successful for Atari, and the product helped revive the company. It was the first personal computer to come with a bitmapped colour GUI. The initial model, the 520ST was released in 1985.

It's primary designer was Shiraz Shivji (born in 1947 in Tanzania) an African engineer, also Atari's Vice President of Research and Development. The "Father" of Atari's first 16-bit computer - the ST.

In 2012, in a special video with greetings to the participants at the "Silly Venture" event held in Poland, Shiraz admitted that his favourite computer he designed was the Atari 520ST, which caused a wave of enthusiasm amongst SV participants.

As a main organizer of the Silly Venture party, I was so proud to receive hand written greetings from Shiraz, and close to 200 T-shirts were printed and given out to every SV visitor.

Here is a direct link to the mentioned video-greetings on YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke-vu1x16UI

On this new item from us, you get "35th ATARI ST anniversary scarf" with a hand written signature by the Father of the ATARI ST! Not only for autumn and winter walks, but also as a fan accessory - the scarf will also look fantastic in any retro corner, and your very own signature from the creator and designer of this computer will be a priceless souvenir for every die-hard ST fan!

And hey, just imagine visiting some retro-computer clubs or parties with this scarf!

These are solidly made scarves, woven on both sides utilising HD technology! It's 100% acrylic, warm at winter, fashionable and comfortable too.

Version: Premium
Size: 20 x 140 cm
Material: Acrylic

By purchasing our product you are helping support "Retro Venture" in the implementation of new projects, as well as "Silly Venture" which has been held in Gdansk/POLAND since 2000!

THANK YOU!

ATARI ST 4EVER!

The scarf can still be purchased, among others via Ebay, but the current batch is limited in quantity (the second batch is in production).

Worldwide shipping!
