I'm happy either way, but HDD would be better.

Impressive work, mate.

disks from MSA images are much easier if they're DSDD i.e. 720kb as you can use a USB floppy drive. 800k+ and you need a PC with a real FDC (who has one of those these days?). HDD would be better as I have CosmosEx

Possibly the best STE demo I've watched. Great work!
STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Lovely :) Nice to see some heavy blitter abuse in a demo :)

I'd like to add that the most recent version of the Cosmosex firmware works perfectly with this demo.

Hi Frank, I know you were one of the only blitter fan on that forum :) Now we're two :) I use blitter in almost every screens in "We Were @" demo.

Great work for this amazing STE demo!
It works like a charm on my 4 MB STE, with disk images loaded from HxC Floppy or CosmosEx.
There are some problems with the 16 first pixels in the left border though, for example in the "Try to beat dis(tortion)" screen (however you mentioned this point in another thread).

Hi!
Sorry for digging out old thread, but for some reason an older version:
http://web.archive.org/web/201603251051 ... eWereF.zip

Works better for my 1040STE + ACSI2STM. The last one crashes before greetings.

Yes, final one stucks at same place as yours,

On my machine the best firmware is 292ns, I can view entirely the demo "We Were" 3 out of 5 times; and play entirely the Metal Slug WIP from start to end using all sprites without bomb crashes, 5 out of 5 times. I also detected something rare, this timing produces faster loading times, slight, but noticeable when I load my Metal Slug WIP... what is the reason?

I have some doubts... is my machine faulty? Probably, its a machine where some bombs when playing can appear; as rare random crashes.
Also my machine has parity RAM modules, Exxos statements said that this can be a bad combination on STEs... :P
Is the fake STM32 faster or more precise on these critical timings (GRZ and Coulon have fakes)?

These are questions without exact answer :P
