Interesting TT030 & NetBSD Twitter account

Post by mikro »

https://twitter.com/nbtt030

You can find interesting stuff there, for instance latest NetBSD up and running on the original TT030 configuration: https://twitter.com/nbtt030/status/1477 ... 44928?s=20

or an example of usage of 12 TTs in a Canadian company: https://twitter.com/maraka77i/status/13 ... 18433?s=20

In the comments there's a few famous names appearing like Howard Chu (very active Atari and MiNT developer back in the 90s) who mentions that he still owns his TT. :)

It's very nice to see people are still running NetBSD Atari port  Back in 2008 I tried to install NetBSD-current on my CT63 falcon but it was broken and I ended up contributing for the project after I fixed issues. Unluckily my CT63 and EtherNAT broke down when I was developing driver for EtherNAT and it kind of stopped my participation for the project... Rodolphe fixed my CT63 but EtherNAT broke down permanently :(

That's just awesome that a company is still using multiple
TT's for their day-to-day work, here in 2022...

Coolness incorporated. :)

Nice post Mikro.
That's amazing, all those TTs in operation. They'll make a small fortune selling them in the future!

Yes, impressive. Assuming 10 MIPS per TT, with 12 of them combined, they nearly reach the raw computing power of of a '93 SGI Indy :D
