STE HDD question - Have you ever seen this one ?

Post by philgood1351fr »

Hi Friends,
I have this STE HDD in my collection for years...and I don't have the cable to test it.
It's a model from Union Product LTD.
Does anyone know what kind of cable I should try ? DE19 our big blue ASCT found on one of these photos ?

Thanks.
Phil

So it has SCSI and ACSI. Neat. Must have been released rather late since it says Falcon in the manual.

Agree with Franck to connect to an Atari not having an SCSI interface you will need to go for a DMA / ACSI cable
The one from Gossuin’s shop brings high value for the price, price on EB are definitely crazy…
Interesting to see also a Centronic SCSI connector on the drive
Just check cabling internally to see if it is also connected
If yes it means you can either connect another SCSI drive to it and benefit from the internal ACSI/SCSI interface to connect chained SCSI drives or either use this external enclosure with for instance a Falcon or TT with their native SCSI connector
Do not use both ASCI and SCSI connector at the same time
