I have not changed anything yet the individual joystick configurations in the MiST.ini file are not read.
Now I'm redoing all the configurations for single core, and, in the case of the arcade ones, we need to fill the SDCard with CFG files that weren't there before, and they were all in MIST.ini

Can you test this?
https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-firm ... 19b54aead6

If you already saved the global settings from the OSD (in mistcfg.ini - delete it), then /core overrides won't work in mist.ini, otherwise they should with this fix.

Ok, this one is perfect, old configurations in MiST.ini work

Many thanks for the quick fix Slingshot !

Hi,

I have the latest core from Jotego. I sent a message to Jotego on his Patreon page.

Thank you,

I'm having weird problems with the last firmware updates (220112 and 220112) and my SDHC cards >=16GB. None of them are working correct. core.rbf (menu) seems to boot (menu loads with "snow" but isn't showing any OSD or RBFs and keyboard and controller are disfunctional). Even cards with only one core.rbf and no other files/folders.
<=8GB cards are working as normal. The weird thing is that microSDHC cards with a capacity >=16GB and an adaptor are working.

Any hints?

Produce some debug logs, and it can be checked. Nothing was changed in the SD Card code in the last two firmwares, only I upgraded my Linux, and as a result, the fw was compiled with a newer GCC.

Added some notes about using the new joystick mapper:

Any way to create logs except of the usb2Serial method I have to build first ? (https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-boar ... Usb2Serial)
Will a ft232 (or a similar device) also work?

Any USB-serial converter should work, just beware of the logic levels (3.3V).
I'm using similar to this (the PL2303):

Ah, great to know. That's what I thought while viewing the mentioned circuit. Will do some logs then, as soon as I can find my adaptor - seems like it fell down from desk, catched by th cat to play with it ;)

A cat will find it boring very soon, as it doesn't move by itself :)

Absolutely correct, but you'll never find things again, when they're "done" with it...burried somewhere under the sofa, inside the cat tree ... :)
But cat isn't guilty, I have already found it and I'm in the process of wiring it up for the weekend.

@Slingshot: we have a new problem. With new firmware is't impossible to write cfg from every core.

I tested on a new formatted 8GB sd card, as well as on on old 32GB SanDisk card.

Thanks for your attention, and patience !

With the test core from yesterday, or the final release?

There's an off by one error at https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-firm ... enu.c#L996

The last button R3 can not be defined.

Attached are two logs from the now non-working 16GB SHDC. One log ist with mist.ini, the other one without. core.rbf is Sorgelig's menu core.
I'm leaving the cabled setup as it is, just in case you need more/other logs with different configurations, cards etc.

Going well until this
INI_PARSER : line(0): "[MEGAMN2A]".
INI_PARSER : line(0): "joystick_remap=0583,2060,1,2,4,8,40,20,0,10,0,C0,800,400".
Then seems it misreads the SD Card:
INI_PARSER : line(0): "joystick_rSZ+kœµÉ.8
And reboots:
Minimig by Dennis van Weeren
ARM Controller by Jakub Bednarski

How does it look like with a previous firmware? Also post this ini file too, I wonder if the error starts on a sector boundary.

Downgraded to fw 211207 and card is working again. Attached are the new logs for that firmware. Archive includes the former logs, divided into subdirectorys.

exactly the same problem here!

Using a 16Gb FAT32 rightnow meanwhile is fixed.
