It works. Thank you so much!
Can you try the following? It doesn't need the extra reset for the retroflag. Maybe it works with the retrobit, too?

Ok, but it won't work with the retroflag. I wonder why this gampad has problems returning its strings. Want to keep them secret?

Hmm, get_string_descriptor might fail on this gamepad? Here's another test with more debug log:

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

I tried, the same results as 210911, Retroflag gamepad works after reset, Retro-bit gamepad is not detected. Then it would be good to have the debug log posted. You can switch on debugging through USB (currently only in the ST cores). Go to OSD -> System -> USB I/O - Debug Then you can dump the log...

Retro-bit gamepad is not recognised at all.
Can you try this?

Re: ZX Next port

The problem with Chinese FPGA dev boards is that they don't have the MSEL pins available, they all come with flash memory and you can't change the mode to passive serial for programming. I still remember that I used a cheap chinese FPGA board for the first tests and that I lifted the MSEL pins up t...

And what about the other one, which didn't work at all? Can you do a debug dump via the serial port?

Re: ZX Next port

I understand. My main reason for this is the software side which is a total mess. I once tried to rewrite that part (and leaving the user interface itself mostly intact). But I never finished that. My opinion is it would be good to add more generalized possibilities, then all the custom menu code f...

Just press Select(or other button, cannot try it now) instead of Run on the BIOS screen.

I hit RUN and get the following picture I'm unable to interpret: IMG_6477.jpg Probably it needs an initialized save RAM (mount one, then format in the BIOS menu). No reason, but why the NTSC then? PAL activists will protest :D
Actually did you notice this very small (~0.5%) difference besides the display on the OSSC?

Re: Issue with Daemonbite controller on SIDI

Arcade Controller has "Usage (Hat switch)" in HID report, so I set joystick_ignore_hat=1 in mist.ini and now it works. In mist menu I can't navigate to items one by one. When I go down with the joystick in menu, it skips 2 items. Anyway, it's seems perfect in game. Regarding to the HAT controls, ca...

Re: Refresh rate reported by OSSC is different than original

So let's say I want to match Mega Drive NTSC original frequency, is it possible to change the master clock from 54MHz to 53.693175MHz in the core and then recompile ? Yes, that's what's needed. Maybe you cannot reach the exact value, because of the PLL's fractional divider's limits, but usually you...

Re: Refresh rate reported by OSSC is different than original

PLLs are not set to the exact original frequency in every core. And even if it's set, they usually differ between PAL/NTSC editions, so reconfigurable PLL is needed. It's already used in some cores (mostly computer cores). For example, Mega Drive PAL's crystal is 53.203Mhz, NTSC is 53.693175MHz. The...

With your test firmware, Megadrive controller is OK but not the arcade one.
As I see, both should return -1, 0, 1 for any directions, thus I don't understand the difference.

Re: Issue with Daemonbite controller on SIDI

I just tested it, horizontal directions are OK but not the vertical ones: - when D-PAD is idle, I see UP in test screen. - when I press down, I see idle in test screen. That's strange, because there's no difference how the axes are handled (same code in a for loop). However they're handled a little...
