Re: Work on the Minimig core?
Hello - let me chime in. I also have trouble with getting my mouse working with the Firmware_ATH240922 when it was working flawlessly with the FW previous to this release. I am using a "Microsoft Mobile Mouse 1000". I attached two log file file from my Mist Serial port. Comparing both it appears ...

Re: Last MiST has been sold
I really like the new design improvements of the new board revision. Although pcbs in black are not a great choice as trace visibility is poorer imho. But who cares it looks really cool. Tempting, real tempting. However, I have two MiSTs sitting here so I do not have a good reason to buy. But maybe ...

Re: Retroradionics ArdadeR Joystick Config
Good to hear - Maybe the WHDLOAD version is buggy - but maybe it is something else entirely - But I guess it is not the joystick.

Re: 3D print case
I love my MiST and use it even more then my MiSTer setups. I still believe that MiST has its place in the FPGA retro systems environment. It is pretty unique in its compactness and core support. It definitely will sell at the set price point. However, I don't know if I require a third one though :P ...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?
(Same question to MSDOS games: is there any out there with audio tracks, and compatible with Next186?)
Maybe Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space (CD-ROM) (Look for in the INet Archives)
It has 3 tracks 1 data and 2 cdda. One for US and One for Soviet Russia. Also requirements are low (386sx Dos 3.1 ...

I tested the USB Support. Works great - Thank you! -
For all wondering --> simply copy your SD-Card content over to a USB Stick. Plug it in and the MiST will boot even without an SD-Card inserted. Very useful.

Minimig Core - About "Add Disk Drive Keyboard Shortcut"
I am sometimes struggling to add or remove disk drives in the Minimig Core.
According to https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/MinimigMassStorage the only way is to add a drive is to use "+ key on the keypad". As i am using a small keyboard without a keypad. So I tried remapping the keys to ...

I do not know really, what exactly is causing your problem - But something similar I experienced in the C64 core and it was related to mapping cursor UP to a joystick in MiST.ini. When ...

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
Maybe you can try to disconnect all USB peripherals from MiST and see - they might consume too much power or their initialization halts the MCU when the USB device driver should run.
Success - re-did the port rebuild. Now using a proper USB3 rated short extension cable. Connecting a 1m USB_A to ...

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
Yes good idea - however - no use - still same picture.. lots of resets of the device on the linux side in dmesg - even when nothing is connected to the normal usb ports. Thanks for helping with the troubleshooting.

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
Yes - could be my dodgy cabling - Even though logging serial with it with Atari Core Debug functions works great. But maybe it is not good enough for the high speed stuff. Anyhow the USB port on this MiST was ripped out by the previous owner - so nobody to blame :)
Anyhow -

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
Ok - I tried it again on PIOS Bullseye - This time I got to see my sd card under /media/. However, I could not access it with user permissions. Root rights helped to open the location under /media/ - Here nothing was listed. So something did not work still

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
I also decided to rebuilt my broken of usb port. I wanted to find out about the USB Storage myself (user-wise). No luck yet - While the USB port I rebuilt works nicely for serial out and is also recognized under Ubuntu as storage device (sdb1), I was not able to mount it yet. Also PIOS Bullseye ...

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
Ok did some more testing - it is indeed stable - I apparently still had a MinimigWheelDriver and the FreeWheel thing in the startupsequence. After uncommenting these everything is running without any crashes

Re: Firmware beta: MiST as USB storage
Latest Firmware firmware_211207.upg is not running stable with minimig core minimig_mist_rtg_211207.rbf.
The latest MegaAGS is crashing and rebooting randomly. Also joystick (usb gamepad) still sometimes stops working.
Sorry that I cannot be more specific as I do not know what else to test.

Absolutely amazed by the performance - Wolfenstein 3d runs amazingly - even sound is great. Good job!!!! Another great core.
Just a note - everybody remember to update the firmware to get keyboard working.
