Re: Gaming databases and ST Metadata
Most of databases around, online using MySQL . So, we actually have it somehow universal already. When have standard database, you can do whatever SW for browsing, updating it - for online, or for local usage. So, I think that not the API is what is missing here - someone experienced can do it rela...

Re: Gaming databases and ST Metadata
Hello, I've been hard at work on AtariLegend 2.0 for the past 2 years. I agree with you that an open source DB is sorely missing in the community and that is part of what will happen wit the new Atarilegend. I have still a lot of work to do, but I'm planning on building several API's for all conten...

Re: Gaming databases and ST Metadata
Hi, you are free to use Atarimania ST scans if you like :) Hi Marakatti, thanks, that will certainly be a great help, although is there any way for me to get an archive of all the box scans? It'd be a lot quicker than downloading one by one. I'm holding off a little on starting to add things to the...

Gaming databases and ST Metadata
I've recently had a bit more free time and I've been getting back into emulation. Having setup the Launchbox front-end one thing I noticed is that ST metadata is sorely lacking in both Launchbox's own and the mainstream game databases. For example, thegamesdb.net and launchbox's database each list l...

Re: Steem Source released
I thought I'd never see the day, this is wonderful news! Came through on my mobile and I could hardly believe it... I just hope now that someone can put it to good use, hopefully in time many of the features we love in STeem can be merged into Hatari? Or at least a new release of Steem with known bu...

This is such a shock, I only get a chance to visit the forums infrequently lately. I've never had any personal contact with Alison but I've always observed her as a very warm and genuine person. I read the posts in this thread with the gradually evaporating hope that this was all a misunderstanding,...

Re: Atari Forum not accessible on Virgin Media?
Thankfully this issue was solved once we got away from that awful previous web host, will still be very happy to see tapatalk support added though!

Re: Can we get tapatalk support added to the forum?
I'd like to add to the request for tapatalk support, i'm one of those who are on VM and am unable to access the site except on my phone - any movement on this? I understand its a very quick and easy install...

Re: ST Preservation site on the horizon!
I have to echo what others have said, I just had a quick look at the new site and it looks fantastic so far. It's clearly had a lot of thought, planning and effort over the last few years, it would be a great shame to see it die before it ever got off the ground! The ST scene is missing a lot of thi...

Graphics filters?
Is there any chance of graphics filters such as hq4x, scale2x and supereagle being added at some point?
Example: hq4x - http://www.hiend3d.com/hq4x.html
I know not everyone wants to see any changes to the graphics but it would only be an option you could turn off and on.

Oh, a couple of other things I wanted - I'll buy a set of those replacement rubber parts that go under the keyboard contacts. Supposed to really improve the responce. I'm sure it's impossible but I'd really love to get a replacement case made too. The original ST shape, just a transparent 'crystal' ...

The reason I wanted a hard drive and a CF/SD reader is I understand any kind of flash memory is going to be fairly slow compared to a hard drive, so I was going to use a large capacity card as a permanent image/software repository that I could copy to the hard drive as required. I also thought TOS 1...

It's at the back of my mind to do a similar project. Essentials for me are a quad TOS switcher, PS/2 ports, internal HD, internal CF or SD reader, built in network port. 14 meg would be great too if anyone can come up with a way to do it. There certainly was internal RTC boards available, but I don'...

[Ebay] Mega STE, Mega ST2, 1040 STF, 5 monitors etc
I saw this on Swiss Ebay a couple of weeks ago and didn't bid as I figured it would be snapped up quickly. It ended up getting no bids. It's come up again and after looking into it further (babelfish) it's collection only and it'll all be dumped this time if it's not sold. It's on the German/Swiss b...

If you haven't already payed, ask if he can just send the link, it should cost a fraction in postage and it's the valuable part. I am sure you can pick up an enclosement and drive really cheaply locally. Postage costs will usually wipe out any savings on an item bought transatlantically except for t...

STEEM authors?
Did anyone keep in touch with the STEEM authors outside of these forums? When was the last time anyone heard from them? It's a real shame that the sources aren't available and that development of a fantastic emulator has come to such a lenghty halt. With that being said it's great to see the work go...

The only sites (besides the one above which looks like a great start) I can see with STF info is http://www.stcarchiv.de/stf.php and http://www.hollinsheads.com/stf/, but they are both pretty sparse.
