Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for this. I'm on it and will read them all.
ST Action no. 22 was my first ever copy, (Think it was the first one after xmas for me and my brand spanking new 1040STFM and I've just downloaded it and it brings back so many memories). ST Action, ST User and Zero ...

I was always jealous of my Friend who had Robocop 2 on the Amiga, as I had the ST version, but...
Even though the ST version wasn't exactly graphically amazing, going back to both of them, the ST version was a far better game playability wise.
I remember seeing the Demo on Amiga Format (or another mag?) at my friends and it looked soo good compared to the ST version. I personally think the ST ...

@Hazzardus: Hi! :) All SV2019 T-shirts were sold out few weeks ago. I've got Your order for the SV2020 T-shirt and replied on Your mail :)
No worries, shame as I loved the 2019 one too. Anyway, replied to your email friend... Keep me posted, also I didn't get payment details from you or are you ...

Re: Silly Venture 2020 - uniting all ATARI scenes since 2000!
Do you still have any SV 2019 shirts left over? Would like to place an order for one Medium if you have the one left, and will order an Orange 2020 in M regardless, but just wanted to check first so I could possibly combine shipping, or is that a separate thing? (Probably is, because I didn't ...

Re: Interest check: Atari 4160ST badges
Every variations mean individual tools for the embossed area (STF, STFM, STE are all embosed on original logos), this is the reason why it only says ST. I don't think it'll be cost effective to subdivide it. It is not me manufacturing them, I'd get them produced so it's a significant cost.

Re: Interest check: Atari 4160ST badges
All I'm gonna say is these look great, and would it be possible for me to share the mockup pic to a few of my friends via email and this thread to get an idea if they are interested too? I'm interested as I have a 4MB STE that this would fit and surely look amazing on. PM me with a rough idea of the ...

Re: Atari ST Space Ace Demo Vs Amiga Space Demo....and STe??
Same as the original Atari ST Monkey Island 2 demo. That had nothing to do with Lucasarts. Then the subsequent demo where you could actually play the first 5 minutes had nothing to do with them either... That was demoscene but never went past proof of concept...
I don't ever remember a playable ...

Not the game, the demo. It is a demo that in that time was said that only Amiga could do that
Sorry can't help much, but I do remember owning both the game, and also getting the demo from a PD library... The demo looked far better than the actual release, both for ST and Amiga... I don't think ...

Re: The Great Atari ST Game Survey 2020
Ok, today's list of my "all time" favorite 5 games are:
* Bellum (freeware)
* Cinko (because it's such a good Renju implementation)
* Megaroids (freeware Asteroids clone working also in mono)
* STarball (good multi-table pinball, and just £5 shareware)
* Vroom (seems to be very popular)

Re: Can anyone recommend a pixel based art program that works on OS X
Photoshop is still amazing for what it's designed for, but not suited to 16 colour 320x200 files AT ALL.
I guess that applies to most modern graphic programs on pc/linux/macos. There are plenty of programs to convert from/to degas format, so you either can do that, or just use an Atari program ...

Apologies for a double post... Now got the tile graphics, and the missing sprites, but my big issue ...

I have the some of the tiles, but it is way over my head to put them back. Don't have an ultimate ripper anymore, but even if I did, the rest of it is beyond me... All I'm aiming for is to put something closer to the Data East arcade game back into it.

Robocop (Pete Johnson) Graphical upgrade attempt...
I've been messing with this for a while, and if anyone didn't know, the sprites in this game were mostly PI1 or PC1 files, so just to mess about I converted the arcade sprites to the ST, and so far it looks good. However, it's only really the main character sprite and a few enemies that I can do ...

Were there any commercial titles made with 3D Construction kit?
I first got into 3D Construction kit thanks to an ST Format coverdisk, but never got round to buying it, although I vaguely remember there may have been at least one commercial (possibly shareware) game that utilised the engine? I know it was possible to make simple games with it, and even the demo ...
