Hmm same issue like the Spint Cores, should be the scan doubler

Edit Thank you, I can work with that

Sorry for being so late, but I was not home at the weekend. Tested all the new arcade cores with the following results:

1. All of them have trunctated video over VGA, the right side of the image is missing. No problem via SCART/RGB, NTSC compatible 480i signal.

2. Crazy Climber seems to be the most mature: nice picture quality over SCART, sound, and appropriate DB9 joystick control as far as I can tell (I'm not familiar with original arcade, but could climb upwards using both joysticks).

3. Sprint1 has sound, Spint2 doesn't. I was unable to steer the car (tried keyboard and both DB9 joy), SPACE accelerates it.

4. Super Breakout has no sound, and I was unable to start the game (tried keyboard and both DB9 joy).

Tanks for your continuous effort to port new cores to MiST!!!

And finally some screenshots...

Cheers: Gábor

Both Bagman and Crazy Climber work great! Graphics and sound seem to be perfect. @DanyPPC: I have a stable picture running Crazy Climber on my old VGA monitor (CRT).

15 Khz and USB Joystick are not supported yet. Bagman supports DB9 joystick and keyboard control, Crazy Climber keyboard only (I haven't figured out the keys yet).

Only 478kbits internal ram required.

Feel free to port to MiST/MiSTer.

Hi!

Me again, better late than never!

Unfortunately new cores are incompatible with my Samsung TV (tried both VGA and RGB - the result was 'no signal' or black screen), and the BenQ monitor syncs new cores' video very slowly.

If scandoubler is disabled the picture looks odd, if enabled seems to be OK, but BenQ shows 640x500@59Hz on info panel in both cases.

Some screenshots:

Gehstock has sent me his MiST port of this core for testing, and I can announce that the result is great! So here it is. [EDIT: now also available on Gehstock's Github repo together with the source, the current .rbf there from three hours ago is binary identical to the one attached here.]

Graphics, sound and gameplay seem to be perfect!

Keyboard control and DB9 joystick are supported, but here and in the Bagman core there is a little problem: Joystick control is rotated by 180 degrees, so you have to hold the stick upside down to control the game.

Thanks to Darfpga and Gehstock for their work!

This will be Gehstock's last core for some time as he has some other things to do now.

Hi!

Tried the new CKong core, the same issue as in case of Bagman on my Samsung. With BenQ works fine, thank you (Darfpga and Gehstock) for your efforts!

Have a nice weekend: Gábor

CKong_Rotated.rbf (15 kHz)
  • out of spec image
  • heavy graphic glitches
  • Keyboard controls not working? (couldn't start the game)
Image

CKong.rbf (15 kHz)
  • less bugs than CKong_Rotated.rbf, only out of spec image

As I have mentioned above, 15 kHz is not supported yet, so it needs to be tested on VGA.

Did you find any other bugs or missing features apart from those I listed above?

I tested CKong.rbf (31 kHz) with my keyboard. The image was fine and everything worked as it should.

CKong_Rotated.rbf (31 kHz) has heavy graphic glitches and the keyboard controls do not seem to work (couldn't start the game).
