Same here, About box says 2.30, but in the german LIESMICH.TXT it is labeled as 2.33, Oct 3, 1994. Filesize is 370905 bytes.

The left is my purchased copy. Both are configured for English. The RSC file sizes are also different.

This is interesting. I am looking for 'certified version' of Interface.
Can you have a look at viewtopic.php?f=14&t=37946

If your files have different MD5 values (even if not) can you upload your original version (bought in English?) to viewtopic.php?f=14&t=37946 :)

Unfortunately at this time all my Atari gear is boxed any ready for transport as we plan to move in the near future. I can supply the files as seen in the snapshot if that's sufficient for analysis?

I have these if you want them. I'm not sure if it is 2.33 though, they say 2.30.

Would also be extremely nice if you could scan the document. It seems to be for version 2.3 and based on your location I assume it is in English :)

Seems to be in a binder so should not be to hard if you have a scanner and time

Here's my version. Note it's incomplete as I didn't copy the entire disk to the hard drive. Indecently, TheNameOfTheGame's photo looks exactly like my package.

intrf23e.zip
(updated archive with HRD file)

yes it is different files. Again same size but slightly different content ?
Seems like everybody has different release ?!?
Can you please provide the HRD file as it is important to interpret the RSC file
Thanks

Ok, here is my copy. Unfortunately the v2.20 program disk appears to be damaged. Even my supercopypro dump won't read. But the other 3 disks were ok.

IF220DEV.zip

IF230D1.zip

IF230D2.zip

serial number is 0001033

I just look (and tested) the content of IF230D1 and the interface executable is amazingly small 222 KB
This is to compare with the other "version 2.3" that all have size of 362KB

It's packed with "PFX 1.13P" according the prg header. Wondering if they shipped it like that.

EDIT: I unpacked the binary and it matches mine in size, but 4 bytes are are different.
The RSC however is a binary match.

How do you unpack? Or can you provide th unpacked?
Looks like the provided archive is a dump of release disk. Why would they release a packed version of the program - plenty of space on the diskette?

Very strange.
I have unpack the file with PFXPAK and in that case I have one byte difference
diff interface.PNG

Then I have unpack with NDP_ST and in that case I have 5 bytes difference
diff interface2.PNG

Strange that unpacker do not unpack the same?!?

But as you say both file are very close

If it's within the first 28 bytes it probably the prg flags. I could of adjusted the prg flags for fastram. Probably safe to say my package is the same as his. Not so sure I trust NDP_ST to depack pfx files anymore. ;)

Interesting this version is the same as the one from TheNameOfTheGame : i.e. the program is packed and same checksum
This seems to indicate that indeed the prgram was distributed packed?!

But strangely the RSC files is different? Doing an RSC compare with Interface shows that the two RSC are widely different?

I think french translations (and maybe even english translations) were not originally distributed with Intrface, and done later by different people.

Yes... For exemple I made the French RSC of Ressource Master by myself...
