My 1040 has started to reboot intermittently and I seem to remember reading summat years back that there was a common problem with the monitor (SM124) socket.............. or was it the plug?.....anyway I think this might be the problem.
Can anyone clue me in?
sounds more complex than the monitor
maybe psu ?? related maybe heat or a bad connection inside
i vote for a psu that is covered in bad solder connections
navigate to simbo's hardware sticky at the top
and print the psu repair faq follow it
and it will magicaly work solid again
