DSOTS was brillaint, Fullscreens all over the place, lots of Mod music/Samples. Nice reset demo and a good dose of sense of humour in the 1MB+ version of the menu music, and it worked on STE.
I think Robomix(Count zero), The Starwars Demo(Fungus The Bogeyman from Gremlin), Sowatt & Acid Burn by AN Cool were the first demos I saw after a friend brought them over one day. I then collected a few as they were more entertaining than most of the games coming out at that time with a few exceptions.
I also loved,Fish 'n' Chips,Ripped off(PETE),Punish your machine, Ooh crikey what a scorcher, The Stupendous demo(I was even sad enough to do a map on graph paer for this) And the Omega Grotesque Demo (?).
Best module compilation/player was 'Songs of the unexpected' & best Slideshow I seen was the Tobias Richter Photochrome one due to extra colours & border removal...
