My Atari Stack (at least some of it)

Postby leech » Mon Jul 31, 2017 3:49 pm

The stack I have on my table for play. From top to bottom;
Atari 130XE (how odd that the bottom is all yellowed, but the top is fine...)
1040STe
Falcon.

Too bad the HTC Vive on the top doesn't connect to them! XE VR....

Nice pile, pretty broad coverage.

I have a TT030/TTM195, 130XE, MegaSTe, Falcon030, FalconCT2, A1200 and A4000(040) on my desks at home. No room for elbows. PC and Opteron server underneath, where they belong. :D

Nice! I would say I have too many to list at this point, but I can try...

Consoles: Atari Lynx(2) and Atari Jaguar. XEGS (guess I can put that there)
Computers: Three above, and TT030 4/16, MegaSTe 4, another 130XE, 800XL, 600XL, 800 and an A4000(060@50).

Ha, for my classic ones, not sure I want to shame myself in saying how many computers besides that I have. I plan on taking one of the 130XEs and putting in the Stereo Pokey, VBXE, and Ultra1mb. Maybe eventually I'll add the Rapidus.

Edit: it's kind of a shame the cartridge port of the XE didn't go where the joystick ports are, it'd really have looked like a baby ST.

I still have a ton of research to do with my 8 bits. Alternate reality all nighters will have their day again if I have my way. I also have a 600XL (64k, Svideo mod), 2 x800XL's (one is 256k, the other my original one) and an XEGS. I also have about 5 or 6 STFM's, a 520STM, 520STE, Lynx, Portfolio and a Jag in the lounge next to a CD32, N64, Dreamcast, Xbox, Wii and PS3. Also have about 5 A500's and a A3000. I have a Saturn a few N64's and a Genesis somewhere too.

Then there are the machines I still have to finish repairing.... 2x MegaST's, Another MegaSTe and a 130XE. I think.

My problem is they all do some things better than others, so you have to them all. Just ask my wife.......

Nice to see some 8 bit love, too.

Damn! Ha, I left out my PS3 and 4, and my currently narfed 1040STf, and second Mega STe (my original one, sadly only boots to a white screen) and the 800XL is my 2nd Atari, (first being the 2600, I think we sadly sold it in a garage sale).

Lately my Falcon has been getting the most love. Played a bit of Crown of Creation 3D last night! That game is amazing. Though I only managed to get to the second mission, and the ship damaged my navigation controls, so I kept wondering around.

I spend far too much time running around after the kids and not enough playing, these days. I plan to build a garage and new desks to give me more room. Especially for the TT, it needs cranking. My machine that seems to get the most use is a stock Falcon too.
