recording SDHC from real hardware

Postby farvardin » Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:50 am

hello,

what is the best way to record tunes from a real Atari ST? I only have a cable to connect it with peritel to a monitor or my tv. There is no audio output on the Atari. I can still use the audio out from my T.V. but I fear it would add some extra noise. Is there a better solution?

Are you trying to preserve the audio ? as there is already a huge sndh archive on the net of the music.

There is a audio output on the monitor socket?

maybe it had, but I can no longer use this monitor, so I'm connection the Atari to the TV. I guess I can only use the t.v. output then... I just feared it would add more unnecessary noises...

Now I remember I also own the MV16 card (from the B.A.T game), I don't remember if it could redirect the normal sounds (I doubt it) to its audio output, but it could worth trying it...

Hi Far,

there is - of course - but like I mentioned before, You'd have to get a proper cable.
Something like this:

No good deed will escape unpunished.

Arrrrgh. The one with VGA will work only with ST-HIGH resolution. So I don't think Maxymizer not MusicMon would work. :(
It must be a regular RGB then.

PS: Here is a cable for You, it would seem:
