Conversion of MOD files to PC

Postby Adrenalin » Wed May 02, 2012 11:45 am

Hi there

I have recently had some of my old Protracker .MOD files ripped from some old Atari floppies (thanks MUG UK!), but I was wondering if there was any way I could play them on my PC?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Jon

I'm sure I've seen ProTracker running on Windows computers.

http://www.xmplay.com/

It's one of the most accurate MOD players available for PC. At least it was when I first started using it ages ago. It also supports many other digital tracker formats. It's also highly configurable, so you may want to take a look at the settings if your tunes don't quite sound right at first.

Impulse Tracker is what I use as it seems to play back the most stuff.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk
