Does anybody know of Atari ST scanning software that will work with the Mustek 600 CP flatbed scanner please?

Cheers

Hi,
I've asked a similar question regards my 600p scanner. Do a search and you'll find some software and links?

Bye

for a mustek you have to try novascan.
Try with this demo, if it work with your scanner I have a full app somewhere.

what you are looking for ? umax, mustek or golden image driver ?

for umax sandrine and scanX is the way,
for mustek novascan (and parx M&E *.rim) is the way,
for golden image touchup (and parx M&E *.rim) is the way

as I say try the demo first to see if it could work with your scanner

Hello,

I have a Umax 600p and a Golden Image Hand Scanner.
So the Scanx? or sandrine hopefully will work!

Sorry for jumping in here. . .!

Thanks,

Does anybody know if there are any Atari scan apps that support the parallel port? I've got a Umax 610p (I think it's model 610 anyway) and I want to try scanning mono/black&white images onto Atari ST. The scanner supports various parallel port protocols and is TWAIN compliant. It seems that many SCSI scanners are supported on Atari but I haven't found much info about parallel ones.

Any info, tips, link, etc. are appreciated!

EDIT: There is a fairly up-to-date scanning app for Atari but I can't recall its name or the company that makes it. I do know that the company is in Canada. Can anybody refresh my memory?

Homa Systems
App name was ScanX and/or ScanX Pro.

There was another program that supported several Epson models.
Can't recall the name though.

I have never seen any devices that work on the parallel port other than printers on an ST. Maybe the port is not 100% compliant or no one wanted to spend the time to write special drivers? I'm not sure really.

Yes, Homa Systems was the one I was thinking about. The site just brings up a Netfirms page about the account being canceled but thankfully google had the ScanX Pro page cached. However, it does not provide any way of trying or buying the software. Does anyone have it? Maybe someone could upload just the documentation so I can read about compatibility and requirements?

There are other parallel port devices for ST. They are mostly music or sound devices. I'm still hoping that there is parallel scanner support somewhere.

Thanks for the help so far.

Wow, and I even posted in it! I remember now that I never had any luck getting a compatible graphics tablet. I may still be able to find one somewhere.

As for ScanX, it definitely only supports SCSI scanners. Too bad for me, I've never seen a SCSI scanner here that wasn't an industrial (and very expensive) model. At least I can scan on my PC.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Here's a couple of versions - 1.2 and 1.26. Serial numbers are in the .NFO file.
