As for the monster size floppy, I have not tried on the ST. I only have one HxC and it is fixed on my Falcon.
It may need the higher speed bit rate that a High Dense floppy. Check the documentation.
IIRC, there is also an HDD emulated in the HxC but accessing it is like the same speed of a floppy.
Imagine, having access to over 100MB of stuff using the speed of a floppy. IMHO it is not very usable but then you get to access huge amount of data storage without having to swap virtual floppies around which may be useful for you.
May be it was last year or the year before that when I tried it, I cannot remember. It was a beta state at that time.
