CT60CONF.CPX user clock divider

Postby Latz » Wed Jan 31, 2018 2:41 pm

Hi,

while waiting for my ordered usb cards...
Can you please explain what exactly is this "user clock divider" in CT60CONF.CPX/Memory yP/?
Basically, what is the user clock?

Thanks in advance,
Latz

Go here:
- click PCI on the LHS
- Look at July 2010 work log entry

Nice of him to keep his worklog notes for us to see, especially now that he has left his child out in the wild with us, and us being not really knowing how to handle the child, and need to experiment just to try to understand what is going on.

I hope some day someone will make a "donation" to this child so that she can truly shine out.

Hi,

thank you for the hint, wongck! Somehow i missed/forgot this chapter.
Perhaps i try this in my second Falcon to find my upload problem, but i have to solder the additional clock wire first.
Do you have soldered this wire from CTCM to CTPCI?

I don't use this.
According to the work log, it does not improve or worsen the situation, so it looks like does nothing to the hanging state.
You mention that your upload stops.... I think I read somewhere that the workaround implemented does not help 100% especially on large transfers.

I know, will use this as a last chance when nothing else helps.

Thanks,
Latz
