CTPCI and Adaptec SCSI PCI card

Postby Rustynutt » Wed Aug 16, 2017 8:00 pm

Searched forum and didn't find any docs or discussion.
Has it been declared an Adaptec PCI SCSI card works/does not work on CTPCI as they will on an Milan using current version of HD Driver?
Any past thread links or first hand experience would be much appreciated.

Have not heard of this card on a CTPCI before nor any drivers for it.
But then I have been in and out of Atari over the years, so may have missed any posting of it.
May be there is a development beta version (like almost everything else of CT60)

I do have an Adaptec SCSI card somewhere in my man cave.

Have a number of ISA and PCI cards here in the cave. Curious if anyone has tried the setup. Sure if HD Driver can run an IDE drive, a SCSI card will be seen as well. Goal is to test a PCMCIA card, same company that made the SCSI/ethernet box Roger (extendos) wrote drivers for.
Read something about the CT/CTPCI FPGA programming is based on the same standard the Milan PCI/ISA uses. Forget the chip name/number.

All I can do is try, like everyone else :)

Ok, good luck.
Let's us know the results but my guess is that chances are slim.
May be the older drivers will work.

Thanks Frank
Some years back Michael had sent the driver while setting up a Milan.
One time, it was additional software, since he's released the driver for all.

While not a goal, will be interesting to note performance on the CT BUS.

VME adapter arrived in great shape.
