Best scene demos to watch on ct60(e) ?

Postby 1st1 » Thu Apr 06, 2017 8:57 pm

Which demos one has to see if one owns a Falcon with 68060? (VGA 60 Hz prefered)

sonoluminszenz does not run on 060 but is my favorite on a 030 Falcon.

starstruc by tbl is great

what else?

There's even a version of this production for the Falcon 060 - http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=49931

And for more Dead Hackers sweet production values, this is a nice little intro -http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=24780

Just go to demozoo, look for ct60 tag (https://demozoo.org/productions/tagged/ct60/) and download everything. ;-)

It's about 20 productions, very few of them are not worth watching (like the 'Fit' demos ported by Insane, the very reason why I hadn't done that was the poor quality of the demos).

Some have animated backgrounds, they aren't movies though.

My curiosity was piqued.

The music in Silk Cut plays back through VLC, so the audio must have used a codec VLC can recognise, no visuals though.

Kioa has got multiple data files, some of the other demos data folders weren't link-filed either, so you can see what they were made of (not movies).

This is the dumbest thing I've read this year. So I guess I spent months just cutting videos in VirtualDub instead of porting the code, wow.

You think this hack would help for the problem with weird colors in SCUMMVM? Try!

Don't worry guys, in 5 decades the apollo080 will be available and will kick th ct60's ass at least by 0.001% (and let's throw in a plus or minus 20% safety margin just to be on the safe side) - yee-haw!
is 73 Falcon patched atari games enough ? ^^
