This stuff is single sided 256mb pc133 cl2. Would this likely be suitable?

this is a 16 MBits x 4 banks x 4 bits chip (resulting in a capacity of 32 MB per chip or 32 x 16 = 512 MB per stick). 4 bits is _not_ supported with the CT60.

Supported:

K4S560832E
8 MBits x 4 banks x 8 bit

K4S561632E
4 MBits x 4 banks x 16 bit

Thanks mfro! The tricky part here is of course that you need to look at the actual chips. The sticker on top of the DIMM says "0832" at the end of the number, even though the chips themselves are 0432.

This one appears to be assembled from x8 chips, so - to the best of my knowledge - I would assume it should work (provided the picture really resembles the part you get).

Ok, cool, I'll give that a go. It's a shame I won't be able to use my 060 until Tuesday though :(

In the interim I've wired up a switch to toggle 030/060 mode and a push button for on/off. They both work nicely and with 030 mode selected the falcon works perfectly! So that means the pico psu install is working fine. I'll start looking at a way to tidily mount the psu lead, switch and button into thr space where the 3pin socket lived.

One thing I've noticed is it really difficult (I actually haven't managed it yet!) to get the top cover back on. I'm struggling to line up the lid standoffs through the two holes on the ct60e. Do they actually go, or is it a matter of cutting them off short? I don't want to do that!

On closer inspection, one of the standoffs is a little flared i think due to a previous owner knackering the thread by over tightening a lid screw. It was flared enough that it would not fit through the space in the ct60e! So i sawed off the offending 0.5cm. Never-mind, at least the lid now fits! :)

May be there's a longer line at border checks now.

Ha, I remember needing to have someone resend a package to me because my address didn't have the extra 4 digit postal code... so now I try to make sure I include that every time!

I've had some things hang out in customs for a month as well... At least anything I've ever ordered from Lotharek has gotten here fairly fast. Does Willy have any tracking for the CT60e?

I know what he meant. This was pre-Trump era that I had issues before. We haven't told EU to build a wall between us and them at least. :P

..got it yesterday :). Big thanks to Willy!
The card works with 256MB and 100MHz, but had to flash to 2.01 cause 1.3 didn't work for me. Is there any chance to keep off the note "ctpci not found" during the bootscreen?

Too late to get one? I expressed my interest on this forum over a year ago I believe, but don't check things often enough and seem to have missed the orders :-(

I want a Vampire Falcon.

It would live forever, be stronger than a normal one, and would never yellow.

Downsides are that you could only use it at night, and you would have to feed it blood.

(Yes, I am aware of what was meant, but my idea is funnier and more practical!)

Does the ct60e need a working nvram to operate properly? My nvram needs replacing and I'm wondering if it might cause a problem in the interim.

I was able to get a free NVRAM chips from Dallas. Yes you will need someone to solder it in place (or fit a low-profile socket) but at least that is one less thing to worry about. Just find the part on their website and click on something like "request a sample".

Better to get a new NVRAM as you may get unexplainable happenings on your bird.

Exxos is going to fix it up for me but do you think it will stop a CT60e working from the get-go?

IIRC, you can set on the CT60CONF.CPX to replace the NVRAM or something like that.
With my FB out on my desk instead of the Falc, I cannot guide you more.

Yes, I saw that option. I was looking on the powerphenix website for a description of the options for ct60conf.cpx but I couldn't see anything. I assumed that would do such a thing in the absence of working nvram.
