My Milan custom case

Postby joska » Fri Sep 15, 2017 10:27 pm

Just wanted to show off something I've been working on lately. I bought my Milan in 2001 and it has never had a proper case. A few years back I rescued a nice aluminium ITX case from the dumpster, this has now been converted to an AT case for my Milan. I've 3D-printed all the internal brackets and mounts, and replaced the dead ITX PSU with a PicoPSU and an Arduino Nano.

The Arduino is used to read the push button, switch on/off the PSU, control the LED and this little trick :D The single button is also used to switch the Milan on/off and reset it.

It's not quite finished, it needs a bit of paint and I haven't installed the SD reader yet.

That's was indeed neat. Imagine if Milan was like that. It would have surely been featured in a lot more magazine articles. That made me laugh. Thanks
