But I guess it's harder to integrate than KF/CTR files, right?

For KF/CTR files there's a dll with an image manager and WD1772 emulator included.
For pasti there's a WD1772 + DMA emulator in the dll.
For SCP there's nothing, there's no DLL.
But I'm slowly working on a more generic DMA + WD1772 emulation in Steem.

Release of v3.6.4 planned next Sunday.
It won't include "STG" and "STW" as described in this forum, it's a point release, mainly with better "CTR" support.

Steem SSE 3.6.4 WIN32 has been released on 15/06/2014.

v3.6.4 features and fixes

-Better handling of CTR disk images: Vroom, Outrun and other games
using weak bits.
Last version of CAPSImg 5.1 necessary (may 2014)
-Timings: correct frame cycles for 508 cycle scanlines
-Timings: sync 68000 on E-clock for ACIA R/W, HBL, VBL interrupts if
option 6301/ACIA checked
-various bugfixes

Was it ever considered to implement a "show invisible files" function for disk images?

It is possible to set files "invisible" on discs... for example with programs like Discwizard III. When you access the disc you just can't see any of the files on there.

@Steven : Pal, can you add dongle support to BAT II in steem ? This game use a dongle connected on the modem port on atari ST.

I made STX files from original BAT II french disks, i can post them here if needed :)

Hmm, this is not really an emulation issue, I think this feature would be more at its place in a disk image manager, as "MSA converter" or such.

Isn't it a sound card?
At any rate we need the full specs of the dongle if we're to emulate it, or it's more a matter of cracking the game properly?

well, the dongle is the same i think on ST and amiga. It's just a resistance solder on a DB23 connector.

Maybe a cracker can check where the routine is and what it wants to pass, and you add in steem 'BAT II dongle in modem port' option to choose before loading the game :)
