Really?

Ok, maybe just check if your computer is switched on at the plug?

You may have made heaps of demos and programs.... but comment like these just makes you look.... well, I would just use "lower than what you probably is".

Of course, my computer is on, and running it on a Commodore Pet emulator produces that error. That's the computer of choice of OP.

But then again, if you don't contribute such dumb and dumber comments, this thread would have been soooooo drrrrry.
Good one.

Phone on forums sucks since it does not support small screen well.

I am not surprised that BASIC is used for big projects.
For one, I did heaps of big projects for large MNC using that IBM carp compatible crap Visual crappy BASIC crap.
LOL.... Controls their equipment that producing stuff that are put on cars and planes.

So one day when you are on that 787 or A380 and your personal entertainment fails.... you can say... must be that crappy VB stuff that was used to create part of the system..... let's pray that it's your personal entertainment system that fails and not something else....

like the microwave oven heating your in-flight food.... that would be disastrous

That's how I stumbled into programming and debugging.... always trying to get that game working.
I self studied BASIC by borrowing text books from my seniors, in order to debug those listing.
Even helped some of the seniors with their computer homework.
 ..... so much so that I was invited to join the computer club while a long queue was on the wait list.
That was no fun... they were doing serious academic stuff there 8O .... not games, so I quit after 2 sessions.
LOL... I was the only guy that was allowed in & out of the club without being an official member. Of course it helps when both the Math teacher and Physics teacher, being the club in-charge, also consulted me on their software

You can always copy and edit on your favourite editor, after that copy it back over and replace the forum editor contents.

For quotes, just make sure you write outside the "[quote]" " [/ quote] " pair.

why don't you get an ST and start using GFA BASIC ?
Tons of support on GFA BASIC here.

I m here and I love gfa basic ,,,infact if you use it you can integrate 'c' asm/68k and other routines into the gfa basic code .....so at first glance its appears basic but is very powerfull

But if I wrote that it would really turn into a flame war.... so I removed it and just put a plain not rude but correct sentence instead.
