Sealed Atari Games :)

Postby itz » Fri Sep 02, 2016 10:48 am

A very nice chap at work has given me the following Psygnosis games free of charge!

Shadow of the Beast 2, Shadow of the Beast 3, and both copies of LEANDER are completely sealed :D

There are still some genuinely very nice ppl out there :D

I didn't know 2 and 3 were written for the Atari. Where they any better than the first?

I think they're Amiga versions, Mark, and from what I've read no, they weren't as good as the first

Hmm, from what I know SOTB 2 was released for the Atari ST but SOTB 3 was not.

IIRC, reviewers thought SOTB2 was better but I'm not sure. I've played 1 but not 2.

I'm 54 now, can totally relate to the eye thing. I still wear contact lenses but my optometrist reminds
me every time I go in for an appointment that I'm at "that age" where people go to glasses only. I
dread that day, always hated my glasses. :)

I'm only 44. In the last year I've started to notice it. Not sure years in IT have helped, I can't read up close or see fine detail. Soldering has got a lot harder.

I'd love to see a proper conversion of Sotb. At least there was the Lynx version. Did you open them, itz?

I admit I always enjoyed "Psygnosis" art for boxes (both ST & Amiga) : that's a pleasure to see some on them on the same photo.

Thanks Itz :D .

And if you tell the kids of today...... I guess we are hitting that age.

I have an old pommy sci fi book at home and the art was brilliant. Similar in style to Psygnosis and Sylmarils. I had thought it might be the same artist.
