Ranarama on STE / HXC

Postby musojon74 » Sun Oct 06, 2013 1:28 pm

Hey guys.

Just wondered if any of you had successfully got Ranarama to work on STE, or is it just completely incompatible? I just get bombs once you enter the dungeon :( Or do I have to buy an STFM?

Hi,

try another copy, i found it on D-BUG menu disk CD153(A), Automation menu disk CD170, Super GAU menu disk GAU 128 and ZUUL CD #152.

I can't test it myself - stfm and falcon only, lack of STE.

Here is the page you can find any game released as menu disk: http://members.optusnet.com.au/atari1/other.htm

Yes, it works not on higher TOS versions ( > 1.4 ). Probably will work if you load TOS 1.04 in RAM - with Seltos, Ramtos .
Instead STFM better buy UltraSatan - most of hard disk fixed games have TOS version problem fix too.

It was shipped with the STE explorer pack despite not being compatible with the STE :)
QA blunder

Where abouts are you musojon? I can sell you an STFM TOS 1.4 for £20.

PM if you're interested.
Mega"SST" 12, MegaSTE, STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Thanks for the responses :-) I'll try other versions and menu disks etc. I might well get an ultrasatan to go in this ste. Or of course I could try the hd emulation for hxc, doesn't matter that it's slow. Dal - I will think about the kind stfm offer. My current problem is space haha. The retro room is also a music studio which is kinda challenging...

Just a note for HxC HD emul. : current version of my HD adapt. will not work with that driver . I need to update it with HAGA system, which should work. But it may be not so soon .. Considering diverse cracks : I don't think that any will work, but you can try, and please inform us here if found some, which works.
Most chances for making it work already today are with Ramtos :D
You need RAMTOS: http://atari.8bitchip.info/astopensw.php
and TOS 1.04 image file - available at several places - there are links in forum for sites ..
