Windows, FreeBSD/Linux, Mac OSX, Palm, GP2x, Windows Mobile, actually :)

A really lame screenshot is here .. a combination of my engine for Time Bandits (with some bomberman style new weapons I added for fun):

That code runs on all the above platforms.

Well this sounds like it will be one of the better games coded in Zot! I'm sure. I will give it a try (on my Zire72) when it's available of course.

Zot is long discontinued now (no one used it, and I can write things faster in native code.), but zot also served as a project for me to pull together a lot of my various game code into a cohesive whole.. the 'zot library' was used for this:

The time bandits engine lives on, I've just not had much time to work on it, but I hope to get back to it soon :)

I'm still decoding the maps and the re-spawn logic and such..

Hey, I'm an Atari ST fan from way back...last week I finally downloaded Steem and have been playing some of my favorite games for the first time in decades.

Time Bandit is easily my favorite ST game of all time, but it's driving me nuts this time out! I can't remember if I ever finished the Star Trek-like "Excalibur" world back when I was a kid, but I sure can't do it today. I've been to the planetoid and the starbase, visited the asteroid and drunk the invincibility goo, and fired on the Klingons...but I still can't get to the area of the game with the final key on level 4D. (I have the vague memory that you have to go aboard the Klingon ship and lower its shields somehow, but I have no idea how.)

I thought this might be a good place to ask. Can anyone help?

Dunno if it applies, but check the version of TB you're playing; there _Definately_ were a few versions, and one or more of the earlier (and sold!) versions had unbeatable sections in the star trek world.. something wrong with the text parser if I recall right.

I'm playing TB 2.1...I assume it's not a software issue, just my own incompetence. :)

Quick update: I should have searched here better. I just found the complete Excalibur walk-through here.
