Looking for my old Outline Art files

Postby Realm » Fri May 23, 2014 3:21 am

Back in the 90's I won second place in the Outline Art contest with my entry The Gunth. I'm trying to find the original Outline Art files. Here's the file info from the GEnie where they were uploaded. Thanks!

Desc: The Gunth in Calamus format CDK!

17133 GUNTH_OL.LZH X REALM 901108 60480 52 30
Desc: The gunth in Outline file format OL!

A quick Google points out to this site which hosts loads of old 'shovelware' CD-ROMs. Both files are on this mirror image of the CD.

As it's a CD-ROM I've not got, I'm grabbing the whole site as it's layout isn't great, but all being well, I'll be able to grab both those files for you.

The listing says they should be in folder 585, but when you look there's nothing in there, so hopefully it's in one of the other folders.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Thanks for the reply! I see it listed in one of the GEnie text files but I don't see any actual .ol files. Might be buried in there somewhere.

Sorry - nothing to add, just wanted to say what a great term 'shovelware' is! :D

Unfortunately I'm away all weekend but the Http website grabber will be running whilst I'm away.

I finally found a gunth.eps file buried on that archive site. Has the individual layered pieces like the original OL file. All I had left was a DynaCADD drawing with an outline of the entire thing. I'm still interested in the original OL or CDK file if anyone comes across them. Thanks for the help!
