Atari Style T-shirts

Postby Greyfox™ » Sat Aug 09, 2008 6:45 pm

Hi..guys...I thought I would share with you folks some thing interesting here...I design t-shirts on the side and I was thinking of getting some of them done..for my self..so I thought I would share some previews and get some feedback on them..good or bad...so please let me know...what you guys & gals think...

now on with the show..

all layouts and design elements other that the artwork are copyright Greyfox © 2008

can you guess from which game this character is from?

Image

or who this is?

Image

and a classic arcade game from Atari Games..I had to make this!

Image

you all know this one

Image

one of my most favorite games on the Atari 8-bit computer

Image

well that's all for now...let me know some feedback...thanks everyone for your interest

all the best

I'd like some custom T-shirts... but I don't like any here. Gauntlet one is ok. (as long as the bit at the bottom is not on the shirt!)

Black with a big white Fuji symbol on the front and an Atari Bee (perhaps 3D bee?) on the back... that would be cool.

FTL Swoosh on the front, Dungeon master logo on the back?

I see you like you video game t-shirts...regarding the gauntlet t-shirt..the greyfox logo wouldn't be there...I was trying for variety here , rather that just a Fuji logo or game logo...but I may do some from your suggestions

and still no-one has named the characters on the first two t-shirts?

My guess would be Bounty Bob (is he Chuckie Egg's brother, they are remarkably similar) and a protagonist from Joust, one of my all time favourite arcades. :D Do I win a T-shirt?

If we are going OTT then I'd like a Fuji Symbol which is made from Electro Luminescent (EL or OLED or LEP) material which changes colour like Rainbow TOS.

Man do I love Joust! I have a version for my 2600, 7800, 130XE, Mega ST, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast.

Bounty bob was an easy one for me to recognized (Coleco version was my first- Atari's version just blew it away!). I remember my 1983 Antic Magazine printing the cheat code for that game (man cheat codes back in 1983!)

As far as shirt designs, I would love to have a white shirt with the Atari Corp Fuji logo and blue letter "ATARI". Im not a fan of the "new" or "old" Fat legs Atari Fuji. Dam how many versions of the Fuji logo has there been?

Well great art for the shirts!

I'd have one of the TOS off T-Shirts

Is it cheaper to just use one colour (black) in the printing? Or is there no real difference in price?

When the Equaliser T-Shirt first came out about four years ago it was £92! But they've calmed down to a reasonable £18

£15 for ones which are not equalisers, just standard patterns.

Hi foxy,

I would really appreciate the high-res piccie of your gauntlet design - I will definitely get this tshirt made! It's approximately 3.412x too cool for school.

Errr... then why do have "Copyright 2008" on all of them if you aren't producing them? Besides, most of them contain material that is already copyrighted or a trademark so there's no way you actually copyrighted any of them anyway.

That said, the Joust one is cool but it would be better on a black or light blue shirt I think. I've seen that graphic before though.

I have not labeled Copyright to any of these t-shirt..only the layouts not the Artwork...I stared this thread to get some feedback on the design elements..for personal preferences and if anyone wanted the artwork composited in this form..I would happily give the artwork for free for Members here at Atari Forums

if you want the Joust Image in it Hi-res form..drop me a PM and I'll box it off to you and you can get it printed on whatever colour T-shirt you like

take care

How big is it? There's some sources on the web for high-res scans of old game posters and art if you look around.
EDIT: Never mind. I found a massive scan of the Atari 7800 Joust game box. That will do fine for me. Thanks anyway though.

Sorry, I don't really have links. That's why I said "if you look around." Using Google image search with the size requirement set to extra large you may find some good stuff.
Here are two sources for high-resolution video game logos. They are probably for newer games but they may have older stuff too:
http://www.aliengiblet.madasafish.com/
http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s282 ... s/?start=0
Here's a site with semi-high res box scans. Click on the thumbnail, then click the larger image, and it will load the biggest scan available to you:
http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Amiga_Game_Box_Scans

There's more out there.
