I always thought that he had a nice style (mostly), but his works really don't do anything to take advantage of the 16 colour limit. Visually they're clean, but technically they are boring.

art shouldn't be about technique in my opinion :) a 2 colour image can be just as visually pleasing as a 16 colour image.

I totally 100% agree when it comes to art. However, I am picky when it comes to pixel art for some reason. Also, in the future you should look into using other resolutions on Atari ST. If you're only using 4 colours or less, why not take advantage of the extra pixels in medium-resolution? As I've mentioned before, I really like your art work but I also value when someone pushes the limits. Keep up the good work and continue to do what you do. Even if someone has bad opinions about an artist's works, then the artist did their job by evoking an emotion and opinion out of the viewer and I value that above all else.

cheers :) I have been playing with doing low res images that use the top and bottom border, it's a pain to 'draw' as I have to compile and run a program each time I want to check the image :) but I might get there in the end.

Ohhh... that's an other thing I like. Images that break the borders. I hope you do eventually get a handle on it. On DHS there is a paint program for ST that allows you to paint in the borders I believe.

I've got to start remembering the name of that program! I think I've mentioned it ten times on this forum without recalling the name

Nice work Spiny! It's not perfect but the technique is very nice for your first attempt at it.

All lines and also the curve of the chicken draw the eye towards the center of the image, which contains... his ass. Was this on purpose? :) He's also running with his left foot and left arm forward at the same time. What a silly chicken! Even though I have gripes this is so far my favorite sight from sundown and I'm glad you're trying new things Spiny. Keep it up!
