Convert files to MSA or ST

Postby Julian85 » Sat Dec 23, 2006 10:04 pm

Hello everybody,
I once owned an Atari ST and felt like playing some of the old games today, so I got Steem... great tool, anyway. Now here's my problem: I found a specific version of Super Breakout (by Mark Overmars) that I used to play and very much want to play it again, but it didn't come as an image file, the files are just the way they are on the Atari floppy (PRGs, TXTs etc). Is there an easy way (or not so easy way :) to convert these files into an MSA image which I can use with Steem or another emulator?

Thanks in advance!

There is. You can use the msa-converter by Zorg, a member here. You can create msa's from zip-files. Don't have the link to his homepage, but you can search the forum.

My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

I remember this program... it was good if a little "un-natural" with the user interface.

Shame the author didnt continue... or open source it.

Of course it can be done with Steem itself.

Create empty floppy image, map folder where are desired files as some hard disk for Atari and copy them to floppy (emulated). After it you have image file with your game or whatever.

You may change the case by clicking on
Outils (or Tools in the english version of the software) / Options
