Maybe this article has some relevance to Atari Legend site

Not sure, but reading between the lines, if your ISP and/or web-host doesn't have the balls, then they will pull a site without questioning the source of the complaint.

My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

A very interesting little read!

I'd say most of the ISPs would just pull the plug on a site. It's probably quicker, easier and, well overall, a lot less hastle than contacting the website owner etc. It also allows the ISP to say (if there was any legal comeback) - "Hey we pulled the site on receipt of the copyright notice and are currently investigating the matter"...

Very interesting indeed. Well spotted mug. I use Demon as my ISP so it was relevant to me for that reason as well.

Wow, that's unbelievable. A Hotmail email address can take down a website!

I had a take down notice a while back. Was d/l a film via bittorrent. British Telecom sent me a nice letter telling me to remove the film from my web site. I didn't even have a web site!

Paul.
