Atari Legend FTP

Postby Silver Surfer » Sun Jul 11, 2004 12:46 pm

Hi all!

We are currently experimenting with setting up a ftp server, if everything works out we plan to keep it open.

Point your ftp clients to: ftp.atarilegend.org

Loginid: ftp@atarilegend.org
Pass: babyduck

Have a nice day :)

Silver Surfer,

This is for the purpose of uploading future atarilegend material like boxscans, advertisements and other scans, right?

Thanks,
Grave

Hey Silversurfer!

Is there anyway you'd let me create directories under the "Upload" folder since I was thinking of uploading a lot of stuff and don't really want to put it all in the "upload" since that'd make it a mess for you.

Well, I uploaded the wrong folder which means that you now have 59Mb of Atari 8-bit demos on your FTP. I'm very sorry that I screwed up! Feel free to delete the files!

I'll try again later or tomorrow.

Once again I'm very sorry I f**ked up!

I am currently making a list of the disks I have and are not on the FTP. Hope I'll be fast enough but going through every file is actually a pain in the a**e!

Very, very nice, thanks a lot.

I think you have everything that I have, but I'll check in more detail to see if there's something I could contribute.

Cheers,

Ahhh ain't that great... but do you suppose you could use a login id without the '@' because this screws things up when you try to log on with a web browser?

Hi there.

I hadn't tried using a browser before but trying it seem to work fine. ftp://ftp@atarilegend.org@ftp.atarilegend.org or ftp://anonymous@atarilegend.org@ftp.atarilegend.org

I don't know how to get rid of the '@' sign... it seem to be how the software works.

Mmm a misunderstanding? Something I don't get? If the id is ftp@atarilegend.org then the URL to be parsed has to be ftp:// ftp@atarilegend.org:babyduck@ftp.atarilegend.org .

Maybe it does work with IE, however I'm using Opera to do my FTPing from work, and there's one darned good reason for that: Opera, for some weird reason, ha sbeen my ultimate tool when proxies and routers are involved. Only Opera can get out of our corporate network somehow, no ftp client I've tried will do... And Opera obviously has problems parsing ftp urls with two @ symbols... So could the id be changed? Pretty pleeeease?

I downloaded opera to give it a try with this ftp and you are correct. Opera doesn't like the @ sign.

However, try this ftp://ftp%40atarilegend.org@ftp.atarilegend.org/ that worked for me. :)

Hello everybody !

Firstly, just a word about the Atari Legend FTP :
WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW 8O
(especially for the marvelous, fantastic, incredible, great download speed ... )

Full thanks for that !

Secondly, just for information, I have uploaded a few missing menu disks (but not complete collections  ) and 141 Mb of ST demos (if you don't be interested by the demos ... delete them  )

Cheers

Hi !

On the FTP again :D (ST section)

I have seen in the Serenade folder two files in double :
One named "Serenade Mod" wich is the Serenade Mod 50 and another one "Serenade mod2" wich contains Serenade 70 and Serenade Mod 23.

For more clearness and space ( ) I think you can delete them.

And (yes , I know , I'm pernickety  ) the 3 Hackbear menus are not Game disks but Demo compil disks ...

That's all for today

Many thanks again.
Cheers

Edit : Serenade again ... the SERE03v2 and SERE18 are corrupted archives
