I can't type... should be "stf" not "sft".... as in ftp://ftp.atarilegend.org/incoming/stf41b.zip and ftp://ftp.atarilegend.org/incoming/stf_labels.zip.

All done .. Sheer Agony CD is now in the CD section and the missing ST Format disk image is in the correct place. I've uploaded the labels plus an unpacked set of them also into the same folder.

I can't delete the "missing POV menus" folder for some reason though ..

All the box scans are deleted and will remain so except for the ones that are new which Goldrunner still needs a copy of.

Is it just me who can't connect or is the AL FTP offline at the moment?

(I think I might have read somewhere it was going offline for a few weeks but I can't find the post).

thanks

Yes it is down.

There are 2 reasons for this.

1) I need to get another computer for that, basically the server is my new computer that I intended to start using myself... but then the old server computer started to sound really strange so I moved everything over to my brand spanking new computer. I really need to go by myself some old piece of junk that can run it instead.

2) I used to have a really really nice internet connection. Unfortunetly the ISP I use decided to "upgrade" the connection from 24Mbit upstream to 1Mbit upstream. And these days when someone is using those 1Mbit upstream my downstream get affected badly. A couple of days before I turned the server off it felt like I was back on dial up again and finally I just turned it off to be able to browse and read email. The only amusing this with all this is that my ISP actually called it a "upgrade".

If there is anything in particular you want I can turn it on for a few days if you wish.

... oh what the hell, I'll turn it on.

Welcome to a forward thinking country (Sweden) that gives a monkeys about their telecoms industry and doesn't privatise them off to the highest bidders and then moan about them 2 decades later (UK) ;-) Don't know what ADSL etc. is like in Greece though.

(internet-wise anyway, I'm sure Surfer has got some bad points about living in Sweden!)

I think there's a previous post up above with regards to why the FTP is currently down. Something to do with the host ISP "upgrading" the connection from 24Mbit to 1Mbit !!!!!!

Anyone know where I can download ST disks?

I'm looking for:
\Atari\ST\Compilations [0.24]\SuperGAU Compilation 698 (19xx)(SuperGAU).zip
\Atari\ST\Compilations [0.24]\SuperGAU Compilation 699 (19xx)(SuperGAU).zip
\Atari\ST\Compilations [0.24]\SuperGAU Compilation 700 (19xx)(SuperGAU).zip
\Atari\ST\Compilations [0.24]\SuperGAU Compilation 701 (19xx)(SuperGAU).zip

The AL FTP site is a myth; it doesn't exist. It may have existed in some alternate reality (THE PAST), but it doesn't exist right now

Thx!

Or, in the words of Retrogamer's current signature.

http://www.planetemu.net

(but imagine it in extra large, red font!)

Click on Recherche, type in the game you're looking for and then download it from the ST section.

So why is the AL FTP no longer online?
Just wondering as there seems to be a big demand for FTPs at the moment, not from me though as I am up to my neck in menus thanks ;)

Read through the history of this thread and buried deep is the answer.

When Silver Surfer had a hiccup with his ISP, he found that their "upgrade" of his service caused his upload speeds on his FTP service to drop to 1/10th or so of it's original speed.

So he's turned it off for the time being until a better ISP / solution can be found.

Does anyone else know if there is another current FTP site that has the same stuff on it? I know a website, but I want to do FTP so I can have it do an automatic download. Thanks...

Hi

I think the content of the AL ftp can be found at marcers ftp, as far as I remember I uploaded it there.
